This handbook describes heating, ventilating and air-conditioning in a broad range of applications. It is divided into five sections: Comfort Applications, Industrial Applications, Energy-Related Applications, Building Operations and Management, and General Applications. The Handbook has been completely revised and updated from the 1999 version, and includes new chapters on HVAC applications in justice facilities (prisons, courthouses, etc.) and on electrical considerations in HVAC applications. Significant revisions have also been made to chapters such as Health Care Facilities, Laboratories, Sound and Vibration Control, Kitchen Ventilation, and Thermal Storage. This book provides background information to designers new to the application as well as those needing a refresher on the topic.

The CD contains all the information in both the I-P and SI print editions of the 2003 HVAC Applications volume. The CD contains fully searchable and printable PDF files and lets you quickly view and print the specific information chapter-by-chapter or page-by-page. Requires a 486 or Pentium-based computer and either Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.5 or later. Will also run on a Macintosh. For Windows 95 and NT, 8MB or RAM (16MB recommended) and 10MB of free hard-disk.
